LeBron James finished with 31 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds as the Miami Heat ended a five-game road losing streak against the stubborn Los Angeles Clippers with a 116-112 victory.
Midway through the first quarter, Blake Griffin missed his jump shot, but the ball was scooped up by Matt Barnes, who fired it back to Griffin for a powerful two-handed dunk.
The away side outpaced the Clippers with an 18-6 run to claim the early advantage.
Chris Bosh made an acrobatic one-handed save after he almost lost the ball to give away possession.Bosh passed to Mario Chalmers for a long three-point shot as the shot-clock expired and the Heat held a 36-24 lead at the end of the first quarter.
In the second, Miami saw their lead shrink as the Clippers chipped away at the large advantage.
LeBron James helped his side keep a safe distance from their opponents - his wide-open three-point shot from the corner putting the Heat back up by 11.
Jamal Crawford made a one-handed three point shot over James to close the first half.
Crawford's circus shot saw Los Angeles head into the locker room with only a seven-point hill to climb at 62-55.
The guard scored 18 points in the first half, second to Griffin's 22.
In the second half, Griffin continued his dunk show.

Miami retained their lead though and extended it to 14 points before the quarter was out.
After good play from James and Norris Cole, Shane Battier hit another Miami three-point shot to give the away team a 86-71 lead.
The Clippers clawed their way back in the final quarter to make the match a tight contest.
Griffin tipped in his own rebound to cut the deficit to two points at 99-97.
The Clippers dominated the glass with 21 offensive rebounds, while Griffin scored a game-high 43 points for his team.
But with less than four minutes remaining, James scored the next seven points for the Heat to give them a 106-100 lead.
The All-Star forward scored 31 points for the Heat and added eight rebounds.
The clinching basket came with less than a minute to play.
Dwyane Wade muscled his way to the basket before firing a pass to Ray Allen in the corner of the court.
Allen buried a three-pointer to give his side a five-point lead at 112-107 and finished with 15 points off the bench.
The two-time defending NBA champions started their road trip with a 116-112 victory and Wade - one of seven Miami players to finish scoring in double figures - finished with 14 points and eight assists in his 700th regular-season game.
The Heat had lost 10 of their previous 12 road games against the Clippers.
